Fadnavis also spoke about the various public rallies that have taken place across Maharashtra since November this year, organised by right-wing outfits, demanding a law against alleged rise in cases of ‘love jihad’.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said the Maharashtra government is examining the need for a law against forceful religious conversion in the form of marriage, and a decision will be taken by the state government after scrutinising the existing laws.
The decision will be taken considering Maharashtra’s requirement and within the boundaries of the Constitution, Fadnavis said while speaking in the Maharashtra Legislative Council on Thursday.
